Jan 3 - Lions v Titans, Johannesburg: Albie Morkel (above) lead from the front with a match-defining knock of 81 from 82 balls that included seven fours and three sixes to propel his side to 264 all out.

Then the Titans kept the Lions under their thumb with Tabraiz Shamsi (above) continuing his excellent form with 3-30 from his 10 overs.

Junior Dala (3-40) and Malusi Siboto (above, 3-30 ) picked up the remaining wickets to rattle the hosts for 232 all out.

Omphile Ramela (above left) made 57, and Dwaine Pretorius (33 off 51 balls) and Rassie van der Dussen (above right, 49 off 64 balls) combined for 61 for the fifth wicket to offer a glimmer of hope for the Lions but the reintroduction of Shamsi got the breakthrough.

The Lions bowled well with Beuran Hendricks (above) picking up three wickets in one over to finish with 5-49 from nine overs but poor fielding cost them dearly.

Dec 23 - Lions v Dolphins, Potchefstroom: The Dolphins effort were boosted by Robbie Frylinck (above, 45) and Calvin Savage, who came together with score on 163 for six. They bludgeoned the bowlers to all points of the compass, compiling 72 off 46-balls.

Hardus Viljoen (above) struck twice in the dying overs to finish with figures of three for 43 as the visitors were bowled out for 253. A plucky team effort from the bizhub Highveld Lions saw them scrape home by two wickets in a tension-filled, nail-biting effort off the final delivery of the match.

Dec 23 - Cobras v Knights, Oudtshoorn: George Linde (above) claimed six wickets to help the WSB Cape Cobras to a bonus-point 67-run victory over the Warriors.

Linde helped dismiss the Warriors for just 175 runs in 36.1 overs in pursuit of the Cobras’ 242 for nine after the home side had been sent in to bat first. The damage had been done up front by speedster Dane Paterson (above left), who claimed 2-23.

Christiaan Jonker (above) struck three boundaries and five maximums before being last man out for a well-played 63 off only 39 balls.

The Cobras had laid a good foundation with an opening stand of 72 for the first wicket between Wayne Parnell (34) and Pieter Malan (above), who went on to top score with 84 from 116 deliveries.

Andrew Birchand Colin Ackermann bowled a tight line to restrict and frustrate the home side while Sisanda Magala and Ayabulela Gqamane (above right, 3-29) completed the destruction.
